With having to deal with the chaos in Washington, nothing makes me happier than being home in Colorado with my constituents. I know people are scared right now about what Trump’s policies will mean for you and your family. That’s why I’ve been on the road to hear directly from you and answer your questions about my work in Congress.
Here are some highlights from my recent trip to Teller County:
Teller County Town Hall
Thank you to everyone who joined our town hall in Woodland Park and made their voices heard. It is so important to hear directly from you. I know many Coloradans, especially in our rural communities, feel overlooked by Washington, but I want you to know: I will always be a voice for our rural communities and fight for the support we need.
Cripple Creek/ Gold Mine
I had an informative tour at the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine! The site employs over 400 people and uses cutting-edge technology. There are only 5 electric mines like this one in the entire world! It’s great to see innovation and leadership in mining right here in Teller County.
Hearing From Cripple Creek Community Leaders
I sat down with community leaders in Cripple Creek. We discussed the request for federal funding I made to build a new child care facility in Cripple Creek. As a mom on a waitlist for childcare, I know firsthand how hard safe, affordable childcare is to come by. And it’s even harder in rural areas. So, I’m fighting to deliver this essential need for our community.
